Cameran Eubanks slams cheating rumors about husband amid ‘Southern Charm’ exit
The 36-year-old, who had been a main cast member on the Bravo series since its debut in 2014, said via Instagram that she’d planned to write a “kind statement” regarding her exit but changed course on Wednesday to address “insidious rumors” surrounding her six-year marriage to Jason Wimberly.
“While upsetting, it sadly doesn’t surprise me as this is what reality television has come to nowadays and a large reason why I kept my marriage off the air,” she wrote. “You must protect what is sacred to you. Some things aren’t worth a big paycheck.”
On Wednesday, a report surfaced alleging Wimberly had been involved with another woman. In the days prior, Eubanks revealed via an Instagram comment that she would not be coming back for Season 7.
Eubanks, who shares 2-year-old daughter Palmer with Wimberly, said it “disgusts” her that he “is being falsely dragged into this.”
She added that her husband has long “supported [her] filming the show,” though he “wanted no part of the spotlight.”
“I can’t get too upset though because this is what you sign up for when you put life on reality TV … and why I’m getting out of it now,” she continued.
Eubanks also said her decision to leave the series was given to Bravo “months ago.”
Eubanks went on to thank the “genuine and kind fans,” as well as the cast and crew, whom she worked with and “had the pleasure of knowing.”
A rep for Bravo and for Eubanks did not immediately return our request for comment.
