Drake mocked over ‘tacky’ new Beatles tattoo
Drake won’t let it be.
On the heels of beating the Beatles’ record for number of charted songs on the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 — hitting 35 to the Fab Four’s 34 — Drake is rubbing it in with a new tattoo depicting himself as the fifth Beatle.
The forearm ink depicts the Beatles’ iconic “Abbey Road” album cover, which recently turned 50, but with Drake added ahead of John Lennon.
While the 32-year-old rapper hasn’t unveiled his gloating tat on his own social media, a number of fan accounts have posted photos where Drake’s fresh ink is visible, including ones of him with a young fan, hugging Chris Brown and standing with YG, as Complex first reported.
Even Drake lovers, however, were critical of the tat when fan site Word On Road posted a pic of it alongside the original album art on Twitter.
“I love drake but that’s so tacky and cocky,” one critic tweeted.
“Drake tats are like a college student’s laptop with stickers all over,” tweeted another, referencing the songwriter’s numerous celebrity tattoos, including tributes to Aaliyah, Lil Wayne and Sade.
Billboard announced that the Canadian artist’s new track, “Money in the Grave” featuring Rick Ross, put him ahead of the Beatles in June — but still behind Madonna, who has 38 charted singles.
“I got more slaps than the Beatles,” Drake rapped on the 2018 Meek Mill track “Going Bad.” Now, it’s true.
