Jill Zarin on why she thinks Bethenny Frankel left ‘RHONY’
“I think she was done,” the former “RHONY” star said on SiriusXM’s “Jeff Lewis Live” show Thursday. “She certainly started a lot of new projects, she’s getting more into Hollywood.”
Zarin, 55, added that she heard Frankel — who announced she was leaving the reality show in August — is looking to make a new show aimed to help women with their businesses.
“She’s one person,” Zarin said. “How can she be in both places at the same time? If she really wants to do that on the West Coast, she can’t be in New York.”
Zarin — who was on the Bravo series from 2008 to 2012 — also commented on how the women don’t usually speak outside of filming.
“[Frankel] is the first to say that she doesn’t have a relationship with the girls other than filming, that it’s a job,” Zarin explained. “I think she’s got enough freedom and choices now to move on and, you know, I always feel like Bethenny always knows when the party’s over.”
She continued, “I think she feels it’s on the downswing, I’m guessing, and she never wants to be the last man standing.”
Frankel, 48, was on “RHONY” from 2008 to 2010 and then returned to the series in 2015. Back when Zarin was on the show, cameras captured a fallout between the pair and their eventual reconciliation in 2018 after Zarin’s husband Bobby passed away.
