Liam Gallagher answers fan question about chances of hearing new music at Glastonbury
The star is working on a new album
The musician answered some questions from fans on Twitter earlier today (April 21), fielding topics including his new album and what Oasis songs he’ll be performing live.
One fan asked: “Will it be new stuff for Glastonbury? Or just the hits?” Gallagher replied: “New stuff.”
When another Twitter user asked, “Any new songs for the tour?”, he added: “Shit loads.”
Gallagher also told one fan that he would be playing ‘Songbird’ live in 2019 and replied to someone else asking about the title of his new album by telling them he couldn’t reveal it because it is “a big surprise”.
The star will appear alongside the likes of George Ezra, Miley Cyrus, Tame Impala, Vampire Weekend, Janelle Monáe, Christine And The Queens, and headliners Stormzy, The Killers, and The Cure at this year’s Glastonbury Festival. The Worthy Farm bash takes place between June 26-30.
On Friday (April 19), the former Oasis singer used this communication with his fans to reveal that he would be supporting The Who on their US tour later this year. “Opening up for the WHO in October we’re gonna be talking about there generation and ours all at the same time,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Gallagher has been working on his second solo album, the follow-up to 2017’s ‘As You Were’. A photo he shared from the studio showed his son Gene laying down some bongo tracks for the record.
