Kate Moss, 46, stuns on British Vogue cover 27 years after her debut
Age is just a number … of British Vogue covers, that is.
Kate Moss fronts the fashion magazine’s January 2021 issue, almost 28 years after her British Vogue debut.
To celebrate the milestone, the 46-year-old supermodel showcased her age-defying beauty in a green Christian Dior silk chiffon maxi dress for one of two covers, both photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
In a sexy shot for the second cover, Moss bared her toned abs in a black Versace crop top and cutout skirt that nodded to the exposed thong trend.
When Moss first posed for British Vogue’s March 1993 issue at the age of 19, “she was just this cocky kid from Croydon,” photographer Corrine Day told the publication.
“She wasn’t like a model … but I knew she was going to be famous.”
Since then, Moss has become a British Vogue mainstay, gracing 43 different covers over the years.
Although the full article won’t be available on newsstands and for digital download until December 4, British Vogue shared a video to tide fans over, in which Moss answers questions from famous friends including Elton John and Marc Jacobs.
The catwalk legend revealed that she first felt like she “made it” when she visited Buckingham Palace. In line with her British roots, she also told Dua Lipa that “London is always the best city in the world to party in.”
The reformed party animal, once known as “The Tank” for her vodka-drinking abilities, also said that her favorite thing to do after a long day of work is to “have a hot bath” and “cuddle” with her 18-year-old daughter, Lila Grace Moss Hack.
Lila made her debut at Paris Fashion Week this season, and may soon be living out modeling dreams of her own.
In the meantime, Moss’ decades-long career seems far from over.
