Listen to Episode 11 of ‘We Hear’: Inside the Amy Robach leak
ABC execs are dealing with the fallout after “Good Morning America” reporter Amy Robach was caught on a hot mic claiming the network quashed her interview with a Jeffrey Epstein accuser to appease the royal family.
Internet boyfriend Keanu Reeves has a girlfriend and she’s not Helen Mirren.
Ron Perlman dared to kiss outside and now he’s getting divorced after almost 40 years.
Here’s what we know so far about the leak:
Robach’s bombshell hot mic admission is continuing to make waves in the media world. Last week, a leaked tape spread online of Robach saying ABC killed her Jeffrey Epstein sex slave story. ABC scrambled after the fallout from Robach’s comments and warned its rival CBS about a leaker.
Then Megyn Kelly launched her news comeback last Friday with an exclusive interview with a former ABC News producer, Ashley Bianco, who was accused of leaking the Robach clip— but who tearfully denies doing so.
Keanu finds a new love
Maggie and Ian go over a few details about the woman who is rumored to be dating the internet’s boyfriend:
-She’s a visual artist – “She’s creative, she’s cool, she’s interesting.”
-She published a few books (with the help of Reeves) – “Basically without Keanu Reeves’ knowledge, she created the images to his self-pitying poetry and put them into a book. And then she presented Reeves with the book, hidden inside the pages of a large green 1970s travel book called ‘The British Scene.’”
-Her age-appropriateness with Reeves has everyone talking – “People are like, “oh, my God, Keanu is dating someone age-appropriate, which I cannot believe is a novel concept in Hollywood. But it is. He’s still nine years older than her. He’s 55 to her, 46.”
-She is not Helen Mirren: Though the fact remains that “Helen Mirren is a smokeshow.”
It’s Splitsville for Hellboy
Actor Ron Perlman, known to many (and especially by Ian) as the star of the “Hellboy” franchise, filed for divorce from his wife of nearly 40 years, Opal Stone Perlman, five months after he was spotted kissing his “StartUp” co-star Allison Dunbar.
TMZ reports that Perlman listed the couple’s date of separation as May 10. Just five days later, paparazzi took photos of the “Hellboy” star kissing Dunbar outside of the Alexander Steakhouse in Pasadena, California, on May 15.
Ian: “This now fits into a category of story that we have, which is: ‘Old people kissing outside weird LA spots.’”
Maggie: “If you were worried about being caught kissing, wouldn’t you take it indoors? Isn’t this sort of what Venetian blinds are for?”
From the Vault: The secret love of Whitney Houston and Robyn Crawford
Back in 2003, Page Six published a story with the headline, “Book puts Whitney on the couch.”
It covered the then-recent publishing of an unauthorized biography of Whitney Houston by entertainment historian James Robert Parish. The book covered the wide speculation that Houston and her childhood-friend-turned-aide had a romantic relationship behind closed doors.
A new, unauthorized biography of Whitney Houston psychoanalyzes her transition from pop princess to pothead, her turbulent marriage to Bobby Brown, and tabloid rumors of a possible sapphic relationship with former top aide Robyn Crawford.
In “Whitney Houston: The Unauthorized Biography”, James Robert Parish examines tales in supermarket weeklies about Houston’s relationship with Crawford. (Both women have denied allegations that they were ever romantically involved.)
“I believe that Whitney and Robyn were emotionally extremely close for many years,” Parish told Page Six. “I can only speculate about a stronger type of relationship, but have no documented evidence.”
The rumors ended up following Houston throughout her career. Now, Crawford is breaking her silence and confirming the love affair in the soon to be published memoir: “A Song for You: My Life with Whitney Houston.”
