Taylor Swift reveals Stella McCartney collaboration, pop-up shop details
Swifties, prepare to get your shop on.
On Tuesday, Taylor Swift shared the full look book for her upcoming collaboration with British designer Stella McCartney, revealing that her new clothing line will be available to shop first at an NYC pop-up shop from August 23-25.
True to the sweet pastel aesthetic the pop star, 29, has adopted in the months leading up to the release of her new album “Lover” (also out August 23), the Stella x Taylor Swift collection is heavy on pale hues, airbrushed artwork and tie-dye.
Highlights include a white satin bomber jacket painted with a winged heart, tees and hoodies featuring a photo of Swift’s new cat Benjamin Button, and crewneck tops addressed “to my lover.”
Certain styles also bear never-before-seen lyrics from “Lover,” including “like a Tennessee” and “summer’s a knife.” Lines from the album’s title track — “There’s a dazzling haze, a mysterious way about you, dear” — also adorn several pieces, as does the 18-song tracklist.
When Swift announced the collaboration during an Instagram Live in June, she described her friend McCartney, 47, as “a woman I respect so much,” explaining, “I respect what she creates, how she creates it. There’s so much whimsy and imagination and romance to the clothing that she designs, and I’ve worn a lot of her stuff recently.”
Continued Swift: “She’s heard the new album, and this new collaboration is inspired by the ‘Lover’ album … I’m so excited about that, and really excited that she would want to collaborate in this way.”
Prices for the collection, which fans can view in its entirety on Swift’s website, have not yet been announced.
