Woman busted for using hotel pool, trying to charge drinks to fake room number
According to Breakers’ employees, this is not the first time that Caluwaert pretended to be a guest of the hotel in order to use the resort’s private pool.
Eventually, Caluwaert did provide the employee with a hotel room key; however, the key was three years old.
Security escorted Caluwaert off of the hotel’s property and then called the Palm Beach Police Department.
Officers arrived at the scene at 3:00 p.m. and found Caluwaert in the parking lot of the hotel by her 2016 blue BMW. Responding officers said she was “heavily intoxicated” and had “slurred speech, glassy bloodshot eyes and a strong odor of alcohol emanating from her face.”
Caluwaert was issued a traffic violation warning and a no trespass warning. She was also instructed to not return to The Breakers.
A representative of The Breakers informed Yahoo Lifestyle that the incident is currently under investigation.
Palm Beach Police Department did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s requests for comment.
